Application details

Basic qualifications

  • Must be an existing home, not new construction.
  • Unit must be new; cannot be a used or repurposed item.
  • Must reside in Wyoming and purchase electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on approved rate schedules (see link to the full Qualifications page below).
  • Smart switch must be Wi-Fi capable.
  • Requires Geofencing (GPS or radio frequency identification technology).
  • A home is not eligible for more than ten (10) wifi smart switch rebates per service address.

Application details

  • After meeting program qualifications, submit all required documents through the online portal within 90 days of purchase.
  • A digital image of your itemized receipt or the confirmation email of your online purchase that includes the manufacturer’s name and model number is required for the application.
  • Your rebate will be issued within 14 business days after we review and approve your application. Missing information may delay processing and delivery.

Once you install smart switches, you’ll never think about lighting in the same way. These convenient devices let you turn your lights on or off remotely, by motion, or from a preset schedule, all controlled right on your smartphone. You can even sync your lights up with voice activated systems to adjust on command.

Customer eligibility

Residential electric customers residing in the state of Wyoming who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules 2 or 18 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Wyoming where the tenant is billed on rate schedules 2 or 18 also qualify for this program.
