Application details

Basic qualifications

  • Must be an existing home, not new construction.
  • Unit must be new; cannot be a used or repurposed item.
  • A home is eligible for up to 10 sensor rebates per service address.
  • Must reside in Utah and purchase electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on approved rate schedules (see link to the full Qualifications page below).

Application details

  • After meeting program qualifications, submit all required documents through the online portal within 180 days of purchase.
  • A digital image of your itemized receipt or the confirmation email of your online purchase that includes the manufacturer’s name and model number is required for the application.
  • Your rebate will be issued within 14 business days after we review and approve your application. Missing information may delay processing and delivery.

These devices use passive infrared, ultrasonic or combined multi-sensing strategies to sense occupancy or vacancy, adding extra efficiency, convenience and functionality to your home lighting system.

Customer eligibility

Residential electric customers residing in the state of Utah who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules 1, 2, or 3 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Utah where the tenant is billed on rate schedules 1, 2 or 3 also qualify for this program.
